Travel Wishlist 4 - ITALY

Warning. This post is VERY picture heavy.

Italy, I would love to travel all around this beautiful European country in the Spring to Summer time. I couldn't just pick one city as there are just too many I would love to visit; Venice, Florence, Rome, Capri, Sorrento, the list could go on and on.

Days would be filled with wandering the cobbled streets, eating gelato and the rest of the amazing Italian cuisine on offer. I cannot wait for the day I get to visit this breathtaking country, what with my ancestors being Italian it would be a dream.

Have you ever been to Italy? Where was your favourite place to visit?

Lazy Sundays

Sundays are meant for lazy days, especially when its drizzly and cold outside. After meeting a friend for what was a very yummy lunch (which I completely forgot to photograph!) and popping to Tesco to stock up on chocolate whilst getting distracted by the book section, I jumped straight back in bed with a cup of tea in my ever favourite Marauders Map mug with a selection of Harry Potter films to choose from. In the end I opted for The Deathly Hallows part one, just so you know. Is it just me or do Hazza P films just make you feel Christmassy and festive?..

Chocolate Orange Cupcakes

As soon as I saw this chocolate orange cupcake recipe on Becky's blog I knew I had to try it. It was a cloudy Autumnal day here so what better way to spend it than to do a bit of baking and catch up on some of my favourite reality tv (MIC, Towie and Geordie Shore fyi).

If you couldn't already tell I did skip a vital part of this yummy recipe - where's the orange buttercream frosting you ask? Well I decided to take the easy *cough* lazy *cough* option and use some Betty Crocker chocolate fudge icing, but I do think the orange buttercream would taste so much better!

Thanks for the as always scrumptious recipe ideas Becky! For now that glass of milk and cupcake awaits.

Travel Wishlist 3 - NEW YORK

New York. Need I say more?

I cannot wait for the day I visit this amazing city. I think it would be most magical over Christmas time what with all of the bright lights, fascinating seasonal window displays and the Christmas spirit in the air.

There's so much to see in this busy city, its definitely my top American destination. I'm hoping to make this dream become reality soon (meaning the next 3 years haha).

Hope you're enjoying my travel wishlist posts! Have you ever been to New York?

OOTD - Tartan Trench

Coat - Primark
Ripped Jeans - River Island
Tee - Topshop
Scarf - Primark
Boots - Aldo
Bag - ASOS

It's another OOTD post for you guys, but you know when you just throw together an outfit and you end up surprisingly happy with it? Well that happened. I like how simple it is - just plain old skinnies with a tee but the coat and the tartan scarf complete it.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Travel Wishlist 2 - PARIS

This week on my travel wishlist is the city of romance - Paris! I've never actually visited France let alone the beautiful city of Paris. Imagine seeing the Eiffel Tower from your hotel room, it would be unreal. I would adore to go on a river cruise down the Seine in the dusk, magical.

Visiting Paris would be the perfect time to try a macaroon- from LadurĂ©e of course. I can't believe I've never been as its so accessible to me but I plan to in the next year (hopefully!).

Have you ever been to this wonderful city? I would love to know what you thought of it!

OOTD - The oversized jumper

Evening all,

So this is an outfit I wore last week and yes its that Topshop necklace, again. I'm a little bit in love with this Primark jumper which I bought quite a few sizes big so that its nice and oversized! Its just an all round simple but cosy outfit and I don't know if you can tell but its been all about monochrome recently.

Today I spent my morning having breakfast in bed (porridge with a banana - just so you know) and reading some of my favourite blogs. I popped out in the dreary weather with my Mum to pick up some bits in town and we treated ourselves to a cheeky hot chocolate! As I'm rambling I may as well let you know that last night I watched the film 'Mud' and it was so good, I really enjoyed it.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday, I'm off to get a cup of tea ready for Downton Abbey!

Travel Wishlist 1 - SANTORINI

One of my goals in life is to travel as much as I can, to see the world and experience different cultures is amazing to me. Having recently come back from travelling around Spain and having the best time ever it has made me want to go on many more adventures all over the globe. This series of Travel Wishlist posts will only include about 5 places that are on the top of my list at the moment and in no particular order I decided to start it off with - drumroll please - SANTORINI , Greece!

[all images from tumblr]

Most of my fellow travellers on my Spain tour had been or were going to Greece and they were most excited about visiting Santorini, having seen their photos and scrolling through hundreds of pictures on tumblr it looks breathtaking. Greece in general is somewhere I would love to visit, but Santorini would be my top destination. The whitewashed walls and cobbled pathways set the scene for what would be the most relaxing holiday, the views across the ocean look amazing - imagine being there at sunset. Bliss.

My Travel Wishlist posts will be live every Wednesday, I would love to know what places are on your travel wishlist?

Monday, 7 October 2013

Today was my day off after working the weekend and the sun decided to peep out behind the clouds giving me and mich (my mum) a perfect excuse to go for a walk along the harbour front and do a bit of shopping. We stopped off at Caffe Nero along the way for a quick coffee and decided to treat ourselves to some Cadbury's Crunchie Rocks (£1 in Sainsburys just so you know!). It was lovely to get some fresh air and spend some time with my mum, I'm now catching up on some youtube videos that I have missed over the weekend - if you want to see some autumnal purchases then head over to my youtube channel as I've recently uploaded a collective Autumn haul!

And just before I go, thankyou so much to all of my readers for commenting on my blog posts! Its so nice to interact with you all and the blogging community is so friendly. I'm so glad I decided to start blogging again, I actually started posting back in 2009 (eek) but my A- Levels got the better of me at the time. Now I hope to grow both my blog and youtube as this is what I love to do.

Thanks again,

OOTD - All black everything

Top - Primark
Skirt - Zara
Tights- Primark
Boots- River Island
Necklace - Topshop

Well hello there,

Sorry its been so long (nearly a week eek) and I know my last post was an outfit of the day but I was pretty pleased with my outfit choice today and I wanted to share it with you all. I got this amazing black turtleneck cropped jumper from Primark for £8 - bargain! On another note, I got my hair cut at last, it was about two months overdue. I decided to put some soft waves in it and in the process managed to burn my hand (ouch).

I'm now snuggled up in bed editing a haul video which should be live in the next few days, I hope everyone is having a lovely week!

Speak to you soon,

Lauren x
